JCA/Oswego

I know this is not a novel concept, but I’d like to see JCA open up the playbook. They’re gonna have to. Do they have the skill guys to do it?
Good question. I doubt they are just going to run over Oswego. They will need a more diverse offense this week, IMO. Tough road game against a very physical opponent.
This is more or less a repost of my in game post during Iowa City game.

The OL was good as expected. The new DL replacements were better than I expected and the defensive front 7-8 was very solid. We didn't get to see much from the QB, receivers and DB's. I wished they had attempted more passes and opened up the playbook a little more because JCA was heading into a tough part of their schedule.

in 2007 I was in a job interview and one of the guys interviewing me told me he looked me up and saw my name on Edgy. I had no clue what he was talking about but went home and googled and I've been here ever since. Though I didn't become a member officially until 2011 (probably because I wanted to ruffle some feathers and couldn't post without being a member) At one point I was even a paid member but then in 2013 I got married and Mrs. Tuccs didn't see a need for a paid membership to follow teenage boys when we didn't even have a child of our own. (when she put it that way I really had no leg to stand on)

I stick around for a few reasons: Mostly to get updates on Naz games since my young family keeps me from seeing them in person, keeping the Lou Holtz/reverse jinx strategy undefeated, pretending like i know what I am doing while making CCL/ESCC picks, and to remind the St Franny fans its only been 319 days since they won the super bowl and beat Naz in Week 9 last year ;)

I do remember the Joliet Catholic site. I would fondly talk about the Illini 8 Days. I’ll stir the hornets nest(don’t worry Edgy) I actually found out about this page when an arguement happened in a site that some of you I think possibly the Mt. Carmel people may remember. It told true news that the media mostly Chicago/Chicagoland swept under the rug as well as national & it was called Detective Shaved Longcock. True or Tru News USA was another.
Detectyve Who? I'd remember that one.

ICE week 1 recap

‘Tone took care of business as expected. 55-14

Coalers put up a decent fight @ Morris, but eventually got worn down. I heard their QB1 also suffered an injury and didn’t play the second half. Unsure of his status. 31-12

Wilmo handled Hope a bit easier than I expected. After giving up an early score, adjustments were made, and Hope did little the rest of the way. 44-6

Manteno put up quite a few points vs Sandwich and won what looked to be a bit of a shootout. 54-32.

Streator pulled out the win vs Ike in what was maybe a mini upset. 20-12

Herscher got relatively handled by Chicago Christian. 34-14.

R-C got humbled by a decent EPG team. 28-6

It looks rough in Lisle. Scored the first TD then proceeded to give up 42 unanswered to a Harvard team that hadn’t won a game since 2021. 42-7

Overall 4-4 for the league.
Chicago Christian’s new HC was the sophomore HC at Mt Carmel. I think this is a program that is going to do some good things under him. Excited to watch them over the next few years.

ICE week 1 recap

Peotone game was a $hit$how. 42-0 after first quarter.

Wilmington is Wilmington

Coal City looks like they put up a good fight.

Manteno looks legit. Impressive win.

Heard the team Streator was playing was not great and they snuck by.

Herscher score was a bit of a surprise. Thought they were gonna take a step this year.

Lisle, that was a big shock.

RC. I think EP Gridley is better than a lot of people think they are. That said, not a great result.
