TV for Cascia? SR 27, Sandburg 17 (Final)

Rock,

You know if some of the subs were playing defense with a 27 - 3 lead? From the "few" plays that I witnessed, it does look as though SR will stop the run better than she did last year--so that is a plus.

Sandburg is huge upfront just like MC will be huge upfront. Good test, imo.
Yes. Subs went in up 3 scores. No biggie. Kings and JBuck crampin up. Week 2 big game. Crazy part was the incredible onside kick ability.

You mentioned stopping the run. Yes D Line held the line. Cormac Lacy, good sized young man that didn’t play last year, can become a stud. Good size, good motor. Played well. JBuck, Kings, Owen Lynch played fast, flying around doing their thing. Sloppy team tackling in first half, much better tackling second half. Better tackle for 4 quarters next week.

Other notes to put a bow on the week:

Long snapper Bubacz was on point for punts and XPs.

Herman ended up with 107 yds and 2 TDS on the ground. Also caught a couple of passes out of the backfield.

SF Kenwood Color?

SF still figuring out the passing game post Miliojevic…looked disjointed and didn’t generate much through the air on offense but much of that in my opinion can be chalked up to game 1 stuff. The talent is clearly there but the passing game just didnt “click” at any point. Also could be that Kenwood has a couple D1 guys in the defensive backfield…that didn’t make things easier. Kenwood D-line also gave SF fits, they have some good pass rushers.

Kenwood O was held in check 90% the time but they have serious speed at the skill positions and got loose for a few big scoring plays.

The score going into the 4th quarter was 27-14 and I think SF had a drive going to put them up 34-14 but then a fumble stalled that drive and gave Kenwood some late momentum.

Overall SF looked a bit sloppy (much of which I’ll chalk up to first game stuff with some new players at key positions) but Kenwood was a well coached team with some real talent. I don’t expect Naz to struggle but Kenwood isn’t anything resembling the pushover that the computers were suggesting.

No it doesn’t kids with talent can be successful at any school, transferring is more about ego. Listen to Edgy talk about Jeff Allen on the Barstool podcast as an example.
Disagree.

Sure you can be personally successful but if the culture sucks and the program isn’t committed to winning…you’ll never meet your full potential.

Rochester 35 @ Chicago Simeon 14, Final

1:30 Start. RHS punts after 3 and out on 1st possession. Same for Simeon.

RHS 2nd Possession: Jacobs TD called back on questionable Offensive P.I. call. Lots of flags...very sloppy play. Officials calling game tight! Stanton 37 yd. Td catch. Defensive penalty leads to Rockets going for 2. 4 play drive, 68 yds.

Simeon 2nd poss.: bad snap on punt. Rockets takeover inside Simeon 10 yd. Line.

RHS 3rd poss.: 24 yd FG good. 11-0

Simeon 3rd poss: Bad punt snap again. RHS takes over at Simeon 3 yrd line.

RHS 4th poss: End of Q1

Very messy Q1...lots of penalties, bad snaps on Simeon part, lack of effective Red Zone punch on RHS part.

How are neuqua demographics changing? Every school is seeing that but in different ways. Some more city move ins while others have a large Asian population growing in their schools.
Indian population has taken over S Nape. Caucasian kids are now the minority at NV.

On a positive note......NV will be state cricket champs soon enough.
