Remove Williams and insert Fields and you have the same comments that were made when he was drafted.

Also, go back to approximately page 72 of this thread where I dove into Williams in college and not being able to beat ranked teams and his stats against them.

I have a hard time with this quote.

Tom won a SB as a rookie. So did Big Ben. Brock Purdy did great as a rookie. There are loads of examples.
I’ve been looking at stats of some of the best quarterbacks to play. How many people are raving about Josh Allen at Wyoming or Ben Roethlisberger and Miami beating Toledo?

Clearly you are in a small select group that doesn’t think Williams has the skill set based on poor performance against Notre Dame or Washington.

I’m sure you were wowed by David Klingler and Andre Ware by the huge numbers they put up in key games.

Clearly he sucked so much that he won a Heisman Trophy. I have to seriously using your football acumen if you believe past performance is a true indicator of future results.

Glad your not the GM of the team I root for

Brown & White Scrimmage Thursday Night

What does a cross country scrimmage look like?
My Senior year at Carmel Catholic (‘87) we kicked
off the fall sports season with the traditional Brown & Gold football scrimmages (Soph/V), with the CC boys and girls teams running a mile timed on the scoreboard. The respective teams ran separately, between the Soph & V football games.

Anyways, the boys varsity football team exited the locker room to the football field, just as the boys CC runners were on the track. We got to the football stadium and the best runner was on his last lap, running barefoot, football team crowding the track near the last turn (going nuts), full stadium cheering him on - crossed the finish line in 4:42. Quite the experience, IMO. Did not expect that kind of performance, especially BAREFOOT!

He was our 2nd baseman Frosh year, and then decided to go ‘all-in’ with CC & track. His father played 2nd base for the White Sox, Marv Staehle. We lost a good baseball player. That one hurt.

"I think it's just a tragedy that we're forcing these rookies to play early, but the reality is the only reason why we are is because we've dumbed the game down, which has allowed them to play."

-Tom Brady

The GOAT chiming in on rookie QBs being thrown into the fire.

the Chargers finished 5-12 and last in the AFC West, but were 2-2 against the might NFC North. Like I said the North isn't terrible, but they're not comparable to the AFC North.
I am talking about overall records. And like it or not, the NFC North was tied for the second best record in the NFL, period. You have stated the obvious. Yeah, the AFC North was very much the best division in football. The record shows it. Like Bill Parcells once said, "you are what your record says you are."

The Hun School of Princeton @ MC (Week 1)

Hun School of Princeton play this Thursday August 22rd, We can get a look at them a week early, Which is good! Just looking at Maxpreps roster they look like they have size, but not depth if I was a betting man MC numbers will wear down them down, Maybe a potential dog fight but I'm sure Lynch has some tricks up his sleeve. 42-14 MC
Max Preps is a joke. From reporting false games & false scores as well as ridiculously inaccurate rosters. Example: There is a very small private boarding school down the street from me that is lucky to put 25 players on the field each year. They start the season this week. It says they lost 31-0 last week which is not true. It says they have a robust roster of 48 which would be immaculate but the reality sadly is they only have 21 kids playing. Some of the kids listed are coaches!!!! This happens each year. I see it too with people reporting scores with CPS games for example.

The Hun School of Princeton @ MC (Week 1)

I was just looking into the Hun School of Princeton team MC opens up against week 1 and had no idea about the talent on that roster. And I no nothing about the teams they play so very likely could be a poor schedule but needless to say I was shocked as I dug in. Before looking into them I figured this would be running clock but now I’m thinking it will be a hell of a game or a run for our money. Does anyone know what to expect from a legitimate source or knowledge of the Hun School of Princeton program?
