Warren wins 35-26, Stewart 42 carries, 359 yards and 5 TD's. Kid is amazing!!

Sounds like Warren is getting hot at the right time. It’s the Quarterfinals. I see LWE plays Stevenson. I know nothing about them other than they are 10-1. They haven’t announced what time or where it’s being played.
Good luck maybe our two teams will meet up?
I will be surprised if Stevenson beats LWE. LWE is hard to run on and well coached. Im glad we do not meet LWE in the quarter finals this year. Against Stevenson, Warren tried to throw the ball too much in my opinion which put them behind the sticks. After that game Mac just said we are going to ride Stewart and slow the game down. Let’s see what happens this week. I think everyone can see NSC was a tough conference this year, so all the teams are battled tested. The FLAG !

Thanks Corey. Just repping the flag ... it’s all fun ! This is a down year for Warren but the kids are fighting which is typical of a McNulty team. Next year should be interesting. They have a young QB (Soph) that has seen some action. Stewart (JR) and Zay Montgomery (JR) Zay is Warren best skill player, who is out with a knee injury after game 2 or 3. Looking at York everything runs through #1. He is tough and has speed. Warren has speed every where ... will Warren be able to bottle him up and make him throw moving his feet. He wants to run vs throw. But this is HS football it may turn into a defensive battle. It looks like York runs a 3 - 3 - 5 defense (some version of that). Will they change their front line with Warren having a heavy run game. The FLAG !

Damn I read the star running back for Barrington tonight was only a freshman…ooof put him on your watchlist for next year
They had two good runners, not sure which one was the freshman, the guy next to me in Bronco regalia gave me conflicting info, either #3 or #22.

BTW; Never sat with a nicer group of fans than Barrington.

Warren's D looked outsized, but is quick and hits hard. Crazy game of momentum shifts. Barrington scored after 3 plays to start the game, and then Warren returned the favor. Heartbreaking fumble late by Barrington that cost them the game. Just amazing runner for Warren, actually Barrington as well. Why I love HS football. Today LHS vs. LF!

York 35 Oswego 17 F

I don’t know about the impact of injuries, but from what I saw last night York was clearly the better team.

A couple other thoughts:
- Oswego seemed to abandon an effective running game way too early.
- York coach with a horrific decision mid Q2 to go for it on 4th and long at midfield. Was a defensive battle at that point with York up 7-3. Gave Oswego a short field to go ahead 10-7 before half.
- Officials with some bizarre calls in Q4.

York is a solid team but their lack of a passing game will catch up to them.
