At least they didn't put Rita ahead of MC.
What’s interesting to me is in the BR v JCA thread, they were talking about who was playing or available and who was out. And then there’s a mention of Jalen Grant and how that made a ‘huge’ difference in some MC team in the past.

What if I told you that a player that Alabama offered but who committed to Ohio State (not a MAC school), a player who has scored a TD every 6 times he’s touched the ball at the HS level missed 43 minutes of that 48 minute game. A game that St. Rita was snapping from the 4 yard line for the game-winning FG before an awesome block and return changed the outcome. I don’t know if you can be in one thread discussing the impact of one player missing and then readily dismiss such a thing in your need for that ranking to be above St. Rita.

Drop St. Rita out of the top 10, I don’t think anyone around them would care. They know they had their shot the first 3 games for whatever regular season respectability mattered, but the season took a different turn right out of the gate. But a lot of depth has been created since then and everyone will be back soon enough, bigger, faster, stronger and healthier for the season that comes after the regular season; even that one player that people forgot.

Enjoy that ranking!

York goes from NR to 8, and Glenbard West only drops from 3 to 9? Very interesting…

Glenbard West has yet to beat a team with a winning record - much less a playoff caliber team - and has the least amount of opponent wins in their own conference.

Hard to argue against this--and we all know, in the end, it's the final pairings/brackets that will rule the day.

One damn game at a time. Woodstock Marian is Cascia's next opponent and should not be taken lightly.

Now, let's do this!

Great point witmonk, every week this year has brought us many state-wide surprises. One week at a time.

Surprised to see Collinsville ranked in 7A, their signature win right now is a 10-7 victory over a 5A school. This may be the first time they’ve ever been ranked though, so good for them
