Here's the nightmare...COVID, forfeits etc. result in a high pointed 4-5 Montini making the playoffs as the 16 seed...are they favored over a 9-0 3A small town conference champion Round 1 (Farmington, Byron, Wilmington, Reed Custer)?

Montini probably wouldn’t be considered the favorite in this hypothetical matchup, but it would be a MUCH more difficult game than a typical 9-0 team first round game.

I’ve seen Montini play some undefeated high scoring Sterling teams in the past and win by 2-3 touchdowns. I don’t think Sterling ever scoring over 10 points. This in 5A I can’t imagine what they would do in 3A

I agree with your sentiments. This year’s version doesn’t seem like your typical Montini of the past 20 years, but they could still be a big problem in 3A.

yes, but they played st. viator as a covid game week one in stead of bensenville which will likely be 4 or 5 incremental wins
