MA 21 TECH 7 The Cadets have Tech's former AD.
Evergreen Park 24 Leo 18 Imagine if McCallister landed at EP.
SI 9 Gavit of Hammond 6

SL 18 Benet 14 The new guy should really tighten up the Vikes.
DLS 24 NW 21 Scotty Baum coached both of these teams.
F 42 Kenwood 35 Friars looking excited for the year.
Marist 35 BR 14 Coming off 9-0 and 2-7 seasons, but a close game with eachother. Hunch: 'Skins easy.
SR 30 JC 6 All of Rita's points coming from Mottl. He should hit a free kick this year.
MCHS 42 Hyde Park 0 Broncs have a new coach. Wonder if he has any success.
PC 10 Lockport 7
LA 3 Rockford 2 Rams are no pushover. In the playoffs last year, they narrowly lost to West Ottawa, who narrowly lost to Clarkston, who won the state championship 3-2 over West Bloomfield. Rams were twelve points away from a state championship. Ramblers were 9.

MC over Hope 45-14 - New look Caravan trying new look O first time in a real game. Expect some hiccups. Hope will contend but not enough guns against a team who wants to impress the new coach

Marmion over DePaul 35-17 - Cadets will be disciplined and control both sides of scrimmage. Ghosts of Gordon Tech keep DePaul motivated

Leo over Evergreen Park 21-20 - no clue what expect here other than Leo wins with speed. Is EP even a shadow of recent success?

St Ig over Gavit 35-21 - no very little about Gavit but do know St Ig can bring it and is well coached and disciplined.

Benet over StL 27-17 - Benet is that ESCC sleeper; StL will be motivated to impress new mentor papa Frank but Vikings lost a lot to graduation and experience is the difference in this one.

DeLaSalle over Niles West 42-27 - Meteors want to send message early. NW has talent and depth but speed of DLS wins this one.

Fenwick over Kenwood 35-20 - Friars well coached and minus studs from last couple of seasons but Kenwood is no match.

Marist over BR 34-31 - by far one of the better match ups of opening week; rematch will be nothing but awesome; Marist will get the nudge due to slightly more depth and talent; Crusaders looking to quiet the crictics and save their coaches job need to slow down Marist offense to win.

St Rita over JCA 28-21 - Mustangs O vs Hilltoppers D will decide this game; JCA will score but need to keep SR O off the field; the speed of these two teams is scary; this could be a 49-42 easily

Montini over Hyde Park - why give a score since this will be a running clock; who scheduled this game BTW?

Provi over Lockport 42-21 - you will see very little defense in this game; PC still has O weapons even without Gavin; PC D is a huge question mark

LA over Rockford MI 24-14 - Ramblers historically come out a little slow until they put the afterburners on around week 4
