Teams with most Returning Starters

You typed this.

“99% of this board doesn't care and realizes that's just the way it is in 2025”

“No one believes you”

That’s not speaking for everyone?

This would be two higher profile transfers than any I can remember and you still believe the IHSA hasn’t looked in to these? Check Maine South if you don’t think they look into transfers.
I am done arguing about something neither of us can prove. Maybe the IHSA will find fault and then you will be happy. I am betting nothing because it’s all above board. IMO
Well the wr transfer just happened a week ago so not really time for much of an investigation.

The question isn't about proof. The question was if we believe he recruits players. You don't think he does. And ppl are giving you crap about it because it's such a naive stance to take given the whats happening in hs sports and the fact he's gotten two very high profile (your words) transfers in 2 years.

Privates don’t like being beat at their own game, especially if it’s all above board. Prove otherwise. You can’t but you will try to validate your objective. Gobear25 you are a rookie here trying to be a big fish. In reality You are just a guppy with a big mouth.

Moving is required to transfer to a Private as well I don't know why you don't think it is. I'm sure they rented an apartment within the district and they probably kept their Libertyville home, but a temporary address change to that district is all that is required. And that is the same for Catholic to Catholic or Public to Catholic/Private, a move is required and if it is Catholic to Catholic the other school needs to sign off in many cases as well. He moved into the District so he is all legit to play. The Daily Southtown did a article on him and he's played 7 on 7 with Williams for 2 years and was friends with him for years and with Shambow graduating Libertyville and his only offers so far MAC schools they felt this was the best decision. Which is totally his right, he didn't have to lie and say financial hardships or anything, he wanted to play with Williams to get better noticed so they moved. People may not like it and be bitter grapes but it is what it is.
Moving is required to become eligible to play DAY ONE. If you transfer without moving then you have to sit for sometime.

What I don’t get is why this family would up root and move to play at another public school when they could just enroll at a private school and don’t have to move. I will repeat what privates always say whatever talking about recruiting. Prove the school did anything illegal. Listen I am not stupid that stuff like this is going on but prove recruiting was being done. Prove that the family isn’t living in there district. Until you can then it’s just accusations. Privates don’t like being beaten at their own game. Why didn’t he transfer to a private school?
getting an Apartment is cheaper than tuition.

I think the only thing that has been proven to me is Corey really doesnt know his beloved LWE as much as he thinks. LWE has always done these type of things players just randomly “Living” in district, why don’t you go check what middle school the O’rourke brothers went to, I can tell you my daughter taught them…..

I m a bit confused by anyone questioning a coach regarding prep football recruiting on 2025.
College football Players at the top fb pkAying schools are professionals. Not only will players get NIL money but they also will get paid to play by the school.
They are pros.
Now given that the best players will get the most NIL money and thus be the highest paid pros on their college team, why would a high-quality receiver NOT transfer to play his final fb season as an amateur in the best possible position to sign the most lucrative NIL deal possible.
If the choice is playing for a new coach at Libertyville or playing with perhaps the top passing qb in the state who already is presumably set up for financial success at the next level, there is only one choice. Geez.
There is a near zero percent chance that the WR will have a worse statistical season at LWE than he would have at Libertyville and absolutely a zero chance he will get less recognition and publicity at LWE tgsn he would at Libertyville.
From this corner of the room, I would think this is sn absolute no-brainer transfer.
Libertyville May have the edge in terms of academic performance vs LWE but this move could very well be a brilliant financial move by the kids’ family.
The LWE coach didn’t even need to be notified.
It is 2025. High school seniors are about to become pro football players. A minuscule number of college players ever make the nfl so a talented prep player especially at a skill position is wise to make as much cash as possible at the college/colleges in the next 4 years.
I don’t see any reason to think the prep coach is recruiting. NIL cash and college direct payments are the real world now.
So I am going to give the LWE coach a pass. Super teams are going to be the result of high school seniors getting ready to turn pro.
The argument can certainly be that super teams are ruining the sport but I maintain the prep coaches aren’t to blame.

I can count on one hand how many kids transfer to our school to improve their situation. Actually I don’t need any hands because it’s zero. I don’t like it, period, but that’s where high school football is going. Good luck to the kid.

Very big recruiting week for MC youngsters. Fresh Caleb Tucker and Marshaun Thorton along with Sophmores Quintin Burrell, Tavares Harrington and Roman Igwebuike all received offers from Michigan State, North Carolina State, Purdue, Louisville, Kansas State and Syracuse. Last week Tucker, Thorton and Burrell also got offers from Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Junior DE Joey Quinn received offers from Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Louisville and 3 MAC schools. @olderbytheminute you posted last season how will MC be without Jack Eilliott and will they be in trouble ....they will be OK! 😀
