Loyola is now showing number 1 in Illinois but ESL is ranked better in the nation. Explain?

Based on strength of schedule. Loyola took the lead during the playoffs. I guess their 8A opponents were rated higher than ESL 6A opponents. Just a speculation
You're the only ones who constantly care about where ESL is ranked compared to everyone else. I'm sure nobody will care their rank if they hoist a trophy.
But I will say again, no one in IL has had four Heavyweight Fights like EastSide did this year.
Four might be pushing it. Do you think that CB and DeSmet are in the same weight class as SJB and IMG?
DeSmet finished at 6-3 and got knocked out of the playoffs 42-7 by CB last weekend.
Desmet was 8-3 and their only losses were to CBC and ESL.
I think we'd be talking about CBC as an 8A contender if they were in the SW Conference.
RIght, I knew that, but for some odd reason I went with the record the IHSA has for DeSmet. My bad.
