I'm not trying to start anything, but I saw the last few real minutes of the game replay this afternoon.

On the second PI call, as the teams lined up, Jack McInerney, the color commentator who coached for many yeas, said the Batavia has twelve defenders on the field. After the play, he said the ref made the right PI call and that any one of the three Batavia defenders involved in the play could have been held responsible.

I recorded the game and will find time later tonight to look over the first of the PI calls on that drive. I will also look for Krock's yellow hoodie guy.

Again, not trying to rekindle the dumpster fire.

I imagine there will be some responses.

You mean a perfect example of human psychology hearing exactly what you want to hear?

and the end zone PI call was bad in my opinion but up for debate I suppose. The big drive extending one earlier was absolutely egregious. Absolutely no contact made.

"Batavia has twelve defenders. The back line of the endzone is the twelfth." is the exact quote. I also thought he said there were too many players on the field at first because there was a long pause in between the sentences, but it was not the case

I do believe the dumpster fire was the officiating itself. The VHS tape has been submitted to the Biden Special events coordinator for evaluation and results of the investigation will be handed down to the IHSA. Pretty sure a stimulus package will be forwarded for officiating equality development for all sports. This is a problem for all levels of youth sports and one that will continue to grow. Try watching a lower level event without cringing. Get involved folks and help out with getting out there and trying your hand at officiating.
