Rochester (Ill.) junior DE Lance Ingold (6-foot-6, 255 pounds) made a visit and committed to NIU tonight.

Lance has the potential to be the Rockets best DE since Matt Swayne, who started for several years at ISU after being a 3-year starter for the Rockets. Last year, he resembled Swayne physically, very tall and athletic but a bit light. Lance improved significantly during the 2022 season. Having seen him at several baseball games this spring, he looks at least 25-30 pounds heavier and could add even more weight without losing athleticism.
