Has a teaching job. Love it!
I had heard he was one of the finalists but just rumors like everything else.Did Fleming reject the job, not get offered, or was his name being thrown around only or attention? Seemed like he was a shoe-in.
Speaking with some of my friends from the MC community, he was well liked by the players and in the classroom over there. For those who closely follow the catholic league. Is this considered a good hire?
i had some teachers at Mount Carmel who saw things in me that I didn't see.Speaking with some of my friends from the MC community, he was well liked by the players and in the classroom over there.
STLs got a few solid players in the 26/27 age group. Their freshman class was VERY good last fall. Only loss was a competitive game to Rice who ran the table in the CCL Blue. Coach Swanson should have a nice foundation upon which to build and I think McCaravan’s assessment is spot on. Vikings will be young the next few years and might get their 5/6 wins and make the playoffs, but 6A is going to be much more competitive than 4A. Based upon what I’m hearing from my MC friends, the Vikings should be very excited about this hire.I've had the pleasure of meeting him. Very nice man. Real young. May be his first head coaching job but looks like he has NCAA grad school assistant gigs. Laurence fans I wouldn't expect immediate success, especially getting bumped up to 6A, but I think once he goes through the head coaching growing pains he's going to be a real good head coach and I think it will be sooner rather then later.
I was going to say West Point but this works too!'Whatever happened to the passing game coordinator under Lenti?'
He landed at Cary-Grove.
I thought it was the same position Big Frank held? Not that I’m aware of.
I believe Coach Frank’s title is “Football Advisor”. I think Lenti and Grunhard were both part of the selection process for the new hire.I thought it was the same position Big Frank held?
Former coach. He is employed by St LaurenceBecause the question begs to be asked, what is Lenti’s current relationship with/affiliation with/involvement with Mount Carmel?

Because he’s involved with STL or because of a rift?Non existent
I would be guessing the latter since few "hard-ons" seen in life can be more enduring than those resulting from a successful, long service coach not being able to leave on his own terms. What can tend to really stick in one's craw is the lack of respect for the many decades of sacrifices, family and otherwise, felt during/after unsatisfactory coaching divorces. Many stories like this exist.Because he’s involved with STL or because of a rift?
One may have led to another, but, being under contract at a different school, what role would you expect him to have at his former employer?I would be guessing the latter since few "hard-ons" seen in life can be more enduring than those resulting from a successful, long service coach not being able to leave on his own terms. It was the wrong execution of the right decision. Obviously Coach Lynch has done amazing. He rejuvenated the offense that was way overdue of being upgraded. Half the athletes MC has on their team these past few seasons wouldn't be at MC if they were still running the Veer. He absolutely should have received a better exit, but would he have truly agreed to a final farewell season if he knew he was being forced out afterwards and not on his terms? I don't know. They went with the band-aid rip, which proved to be successful but it did not sit well with many fans and I can totally understand why and won't argue with anyone who feels different, so I've always referred to it as the wrong execution of the right decision.I would be guessing the latter since few "hard-ons" seen in life can be more enduring than those resulting from a successful, long service coach not being able to leave on his own terms. He did agree to be interviewed for this great video back in November, which I was really surprised by because he's had a non existent relationship with MC. It's been long enough though. 98% of the people at MC had nothing to do with that decision 8 years ago and the President who made that decision has been gone for 4 years. Him returning would be an outstanding celebration and let the fan base applaud him properly.Non existent
From what I'm told not good and it's ridiculous. He didn't come to MC, MC came to him, they were going to move on regardless of him agreeing to the job or not, he had to make a decision for him and his family and to be shunned by him for it is ridiculous. I know Coach Lenti helped select the Nissans replacement and Coach Lynch heavily recommend Coach Swanson so maybe they buried the hatchet. At least I hope they did.Curious what his feelings toward Lynch are.
You would think. 8 years is long enough. He's cutting off his nose to spite his face now and it's becoming annoying to many fans. He's missed reunions, he missed the dedication of the field that was named after a player who died during the season when he coached....like I said the President who made this decision is gone, the very few others who were there that may have had a say in this have tried numerous times to bury this, he's just not allowing it. I was happy to see him in that video posted above, maybe it's finally starting to heal, it would be a helluva ovation for him at midfield.StL put together a nice video tribute and honored him at a game last year for his 50th year of coaching. I have no idea what his current relationship is with MC, but I would hope that he can eventually receive a proper send off over there. Time heals all wounds…
Lynch was in a tough spot. Really wants the position and agreed the program could be better but in order to get the position, Lenti had to be pushed out. From what I'm told not good and it's ridiculous.
