I had heard he was one of the finalists but just rumors like everything else.

Speaking with some of my friends from the MC community, he was well liked by the players and in the classroom over there.

A few years back sat with him and the MC staff at the annual banquet very good bunch of guys and had a really good time lots of fun stories etc. Lots of quality younger guys on that staff

I've had the pleasure of meeting him. Very nice man. Real young. May be his first head coaching job but looks like he has NCAA grad school assistant gigs. Laurence fans I wouldn't expect immediate success, especially getting bumped up to 6A, but I think once he goes through the head coaching growing pains he's going to be a real good head coach and I think it will be sooner rather then later.
