New coach at St Laurence

Did Fleming reject the job, not get offered, or was his name being thrown around only or attention? Seemed like he was a shoe-in.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him. Very nice man. Real young. May be his first head coaching job but looks like he has NCAA grad school assistant gigs. Laurence fans I wouldn't expect immediate success, especially getting bumped up to 6A, but I think once he goes through the head coaching growing pains he's going to be a real good head coach and I think it will be sooner rather then later.

STLs got a few solid players in the 26/27 age group. Their freshman class was VERY good last fall. Only loss was a competitive game to Rice who ran the table in the CCL Blue. Coach Swanson should have a nice foundation upon which to build and I think McCaravan’s assessment is spot on. Vikings will be young the next few years and might get their 5/6 wins and make the playoffs, but 6A is going to be much more competitive than 4A. Based upon what I’m hearing from my MC friends, the Vikings should be very excited about this hire.
