I worked football from 1960 thru 1980 and only with a four man crew. To many officials now days are overweight and unable to handle a 4 man crew. When I worked all 4 of us were in great shape and could run with the kids. Rarely do you see a young bunch of guys working a game anymore. .
No. Illinois is one of the last states with a 5 person crew. Most employ 6 and 7 person. It will not go backward and use 4. The rest of us will retire if that happened.
