NIU adds Romeoville RB Jordan nettles and Mount Carmel OLB/S Michael Kennedy to it's signing class.
My take?
Gotta love the efforts so far from NIU. I really, really like this class so far. Kennedy and Nettles are no question NIU type of names. Meaning? Kids with speed, are high level athlete types who can play various spots if asked.
Kennedy was outstanding this summer on either side of the football and has the size/frame and tools to become a very good OLB. I would rank Kennedy as a low to mid 3 star.
Nettles? Speed back has an exceptional burst and very good vision. Needs to add a bit more size and weight but NIU will take that speed any day. Also could see Nettles gets some looks down the road if needed as say a CB or slot?
Again very strong in-state effort here from NIU.
