Wasn’t shocked by Highland’s win as I had seen them earlier in the year and thought they were a good matchup for the Indians, but I do believe Mascoutah had at least one key player get hobbled up during the game. Glad to see the Bulldogs in a much better playoff position as they deserve a spot. Also personally glad Triad gets a share of the conference title.
I’d keep an eye on any of the three Mississippi Valley Conference co-champions(Mascoutah,Highland, and Triad) in that 5A south. They all can beat each other and I think they could provide trouble for anyone else there.
Same for Cahokia, but for 4A. Always have some athletes there and have a pretty nice defense.
