Lincoln-Way 210 has planned for Blended Learning- A/B Days. Following IDPH/ISBE guidelines, Blended Learning-A/B Days focuses on limiting the total number of people in a building on a daily basis.

Students will be split alphabetically into: Group A: Last Name A – L and Group B: Last Name M – Z. A Day students attend In-Person while B students are Remote; B Day students attend In-Person while A students are Remote.

Some interesting components:

• Student body in 2 halves with buildings open 5 days giving kids 3 days in-person one week, 2 the next
• as needed, students needing accommodations may attend all days
• if choosing all Remote Learning instead:
  • locked in for full semester
  • all courses may not be available
  • may not be able to participate in extra-curriculars
• a remote learning day would be from 9-2:30 with 3 - 4 hours of real-time learning and 1 - 2 hours of online channel learning w/o real-time interaction

It seems really stupid to me that since LW isn’t a CUSD the feeder districts have different learning plans in place with one being in person (Frankfort) and the other being all online (Summit Hill). This would seem to put one set of future classmates at an academic disadvantage.

They all were supposed to. The supers of the feeders had an agreement and then the summit board just went rogue the other night and voted to ignore the plan and vote all remote. A lot of parents are really ticked after seeing the rest of the feeders all having a same plan. Big disadvantage.
