It wasn't the last time they played (a 17-10 Loyola victory in the semi-finals at Edwardsville), but here is a great You Tube video about the 2014 classic game where Loyola beat Edwardsville in overtime in week two:

Good luck to the Ramblers this weekend!

Great video however his knee was down when he caught the ball. Game should have been over. That play could have changed the history for E'ville.

The holder can rise and throw or run the ball:

While the holder’s knee is down in NFHS, he cannot control the snap and then throw a pass. Such action causes the ball to become dead immediately. If the holder rises, he can pass, run or hand off to another player. The ball remains live if the holder rises and catches or recovers an errant snap and immediately returns his knee(s) to the ground and places the ball for a kick or again rises to advance, hand, kick or pass (4-2-2 Exc.).

Apologies, I re-read this and you are correct!

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is located on 2,660 acres (1,076.5 ha) of trees and lakes, making SIUE one of the largest college campuses in the US by land area.

That was a farmer donation.
The most important word that you have in there is "WAS." lol SIUE was established in the 1950's.

All the way to Hamlin and Holiday Shores, that is Eville.
Do you mean Hamel? Hamel is in the Edwardsville school district, but is not Edwardsville. Hamel is also not particularly wealthy. There used to be lots and lots of farmland in Edwardsville. Most of 157 was all farmland. Those days are long gone. Big money in Edwardsville doesn't really come from farmers, but more so from families like the Plummers.

35 to 0 at the half, Loyola winning. Five first half possessions for Loyola resulted in five touchdowns. Five first half possessions for Edwardsville resulted in one first down, which they obtained with 15 seconds remaining in the half. Edwardsville did not cross the 50-yard-line.

Luke Foster at running back for Loyola seems to be a better runner than their starter, but not as good as a receiver.
