Illinois State’s Coach Spack 👏👏

Wow. Three cheap shots about my age in one afternoon from a guy who claims to be a professional writer.. Did you go to the library for "curmudgeon"? I haven't been called that on this board since yesterday -- one of the teenagers,

You really went ballistic over differences of opinion about the possible sites for high school football games. You must be something at a traffic stop.

What's the big deal? I never said anything disparaging about Urbana or Normal. I just do't know why the games need to be .so far from the population center. And yes, an extra 90 minutes after a full day of earlier driving is a big deal to a lot of people. Maybe not you, but that's your business.
It seems to me I have read over the years that the overwhelming choice on this board for the state championship games is ISU. I remember people saying they preferred ISU over U of I and the same was true when it was held in DeKalb. I would prefer ISU as well as it seems to be a more central location in the state. Plus, the stadium is great and it seems like a better atmosphere than the other two locations.

As far as the drive goes, I think a 2 hour drive isn't too much to ask. And what about the people who would have to travel much farther than 2 hours if the location was DeKalb? I just don't recall a bunch of people here complaining about driving to ISU.

One thing I do know. As men age they think about long drives in a different way. One of the considerations is: how long do I go and where do I get off when I have to go pee pee? LOL!!

Wallys off of 55 in Pontiac. I think everyone stopped there to/from Bloomington. Ha.

Q: How many spectators are generally attending the title games?

I've only watched on TV and I always wonder whether it'd be a better environment in a smaller venue that was closer to being packed. Why does it have to be in a D1 stadium? A stadium in the 5K seat range seems like it might be cool. North Central?

The accommodations for some of the teams are some of the worse they've been in all year. Most high schools give better places to get ready.

It took me almost two hours to drive to Midway and back last Friday afternoon. A total of 21 miles round trip.

I just figured that you looked for a hydrant and lifted your leg.

No?
Sure, and then you come along to sniff it and squat to pee. Yes?

Gee whiz, you really are a miserable little man aren't you? I make a joke and and you don't like it. Deal with it. You do this every year at this time. I don't know what your real problem is and I don't care. But other people do get sick of it, over and over with you.

Actually I know the real reason you are so unpleasant this year. More than usual. Well, get over it. Put your big boy pants on, grow up and deal with it. You'll be fine. As a matter of fact you'll be better off. Have a Merry Christmas. I know I will. :):):)

Like prep writer, you make nasty, unsubstantiated charges to hide your own deficiencies.

All this vitriol because I have a different preference for the site of a high school football game.. How do you guys handle serious problems.

He claims to be a professioanal journalist. If so, it's likely thst he studied English literaature somewhere along the line. The name in question is part of the most famous in Dickens' works.
The spelling police can't spell that, literature or professional correctly. I'm moving on. Not worth my time.

You finally responded. What took you two weeks?

Touche on the spelling.
You spell incorrectly more often than you think. I can always tell when you are more worked up than usual. Your spelling and keystrokes suffer greatly.

Vitriol? I did wish you a Merry Christmas. If that is vitriol in your world I feel sorry for you... Ebenezer.
