I couldn't agree more. If 2 hours in a car is a problem, you're better off watching the games on TV. Hell it can take me 2 hours to get to Wrigley Field from Lockport.A two hour drive is overwhelming? Holy hell!

Hilarious!! 😃 😃 I wonder if his name is really Ebenezer. LOLIm sure 99 percent of the population is just fine with making the two hour trip down 55 to plan for a state title.
You’re a spoiled old man who whines about everything.
Got a news flash for ya, Ebenizer. This isn’t about you, as much as you want it to be.
Decent idea but IHSA will never go for two locations for the state series. Costs too much. What about 1a and 2a or the 2 most South -south matchups for Charleston? That way their is less compression with regards to ISU game times like what happened for the Saturday games this year
It seems to me I have read over the years that the overwhelming choice on this board for the state championship games is ISU. I remember people saying they preferred ISU over U of I and the same was true when it was held in DeKalb. I would prefer ISU as well as it seems to be a more central location in the state. Plus, the stadium is great and it seems like a better atmosphere than the other two locations.Wow. Three cheap shots about my age in one afternoon from a guy who claims to be a professional writer.. Did you go to the library for "curmudgeon"? I haven't been called that on this board since yesterday -- one of the teenagers,
You really went ballistic over differences of opinion about the possible sites for high school football games. You must be something at a traffic stop.
What's the big deal? I never said anything disparaging about Urbana or Normal. I just do't know why the games need to be .so far from the population center. And yes, an extra 90 minutes after a full day of earlier driving is a big deal to a lot of people. Maybe not you, but that's your business.
Wallys off of 55 in Pontiac. I think everyone stopped there to/from Bloomington. Ha.It seems to me I have read over the years that the overwhelming choice on this board for the state championship games is ISU. As far as the drive goes, I think a 2 hour drive isn't too much to ask. And what about the people who would have to travel much farther than 2 hours if the location was DeKalb? I just don't recall a bunch of people here complaining about driving to ISU.
One thing I do know. As men age they think about long drives in a different way. One of the considerations is: how long do I go and where do I get off when I have to go pee pee? LOL!!
How many gas pumps do they have there ??Wallys off of 55 in Pontiac. I think everyone stopped there to/from Bloomington. Ha.
A lot. And everyone single one of them was taken! It was nuts. How many gas pumps do they have there ??
At least you spelled the name correctly - Prep Writer didn't know how.Hilarious!! 😃 😃 I wonder if his name is really Ebenezer. LOL
I just figured that you looked for a hydrant and lifted your leg.. One of the considerations is: how long do I go and where do I get off when I have to go pee pee? LOL!!
The accommodations for some of the teams are some of the worse they've been in all year. Most high schools give better places to get ready. It seems to me I have read over the years that the overwhelming choice on this board for the state championship games is ISU. Sure, and then you come along to sniff it and squat to pee. Yes?I just figured that you looked for a hydrant and lifted your leg.
No?
When did you become the spelling police? At least you spelled the name correctly - Prep Writer didn't know how.
Messed up his rant.
Like prep writer, you make nasty, unsubstantiated charges to hide your own deficiencies.Sure, and then you come along to sniff it and squat to pee. Yes?
Gee whiz, you really are a miserable little man aren't you? I make a joke and and you don't like it. Deal with it. You do this every year at this time. I don't know what your real problem is and I don't care. But other people do get sick of it, over and over with you.
Actually I know the real reason you are so unpleasant this year. More than usual. Well, get over it. Put your big boy pants on, grow up and deal with it. You'll be fine. As a matter of fact you'll be better off. Have a Merry Christmas. I know I will.
He claims to be a professioanal journalist. If so, it's likely thst he studied English literaature somewhere along the line. The name in question is part of the most famous in Dickens' works. When did you become the spelling police?
The spelling police can't spell that, literature or professional correctly. I'm moving on. Not worth my time.He claims to be a professioanal journalist. You finally responded. What took you two weeks? The spelling police can't spell that, literature or professional correctly. I'm moving on. Not worth my time.
You spell incorrectly more often than you think. I can always tell when you are more worked up than usual. Your spelling and keystrokes suffer greatly. You finally responded. What took you two weeks?
Touche on the spelling.
Vitriol? I did wish you a Merry Christmas. If that is vitriol in your world I feel sorry for you... Ebenezer.Like prep writer, you make nasty, unsubstantiated charges to hide your own deficiencies.
All this vitriol because I have a different preference for the site of a high school football game.. How do you guys handle serious problems.
After several cheap shots - typical for you.Vitriol? I did wish you a Merry Christmas. If that is vitriol in your world I feel sorry for you... Ebenezer.
