Overall I don't think PR could have played a better first three quarters than they did today in walloping Montini at Montini.
The Wolves and QB Samson Evans came out on a mission, and the only real hiccup was allowing a first drive field goal to the Broncos. Outside of that first drive PR took over, was dominant and never looked back.
Samson Evans had a signature performance with 7TD and it's hard to even truly describe his impact on the PR offense. Evans runs the PR option with smarts, exceptional speed, quickness and Evans also runs with power. Incredible HS QB and athlete.
The Wolves also had a very good OL and also a very strong and very quick defense in 2016. The defense was what I wanted to focus on and they just flew to the football and played very well overall.
PR I feel has to be the hands on favorite in 6A. Sure, I've yet to see SHG and a few others...yet I can see this PR team playing with anyone left in the entire state playoff field.
Montini? The Broncos just never really got on track and never really recovered after the first quarter in this loss. Losing Mitch West was no question a blow for Montini but even West would have has issues here.
