According to various sources this AM Illinois landed a verbal commitment from Rockford Auburn 2016 ATH Juwane Parchman (6-foot-0, 190 pounds). So has the Illini aded a verbal?

According to Rockford Auburn head coach and athletic director Dan Appino, not exactly.

"Juan really likes Illinois and they have treated him very well so far," Appino said. "Juan hasn't committed to Illinois yet. He's going to visit them this weekend and he's very interested. Juwane is going to sit down with his Mom and talk it over and he's been back and forth on it (verbal commitment)."

"I think that if the whole coaching stability question at Illinois wasn't an issue he (Juwane) would of committed already to Illinois."

So what type of player is Parchman?

"He's just a very athletic kid with a ton of speed and upside. I see him eventually becoming an OLB or S type at the college level. He's already 6-foot-0, 190 pounds and will add more size. He plays receiver and safety for us and is just a great open field tackler. Athletically he's just a talented kid but he still has work to do. He needs to refine his game but his potential and upside is there."
