Crete vs ESL at Crete

It's been 2 weeks since the Warriors hosted on a pristine field that hadn't been walked on but had received a weeklong pouring of rain. By days end Round 1, the ruts were two inches deep, the center of the field was soggier than the sloped sidezones, and the surface color changed from a fairway green to a mud pit brown. The weather's been mostly dry since, save for a few melted flurries. I expect it will be a long and tiring week for the CMHS maintenance crew...staying awake while the sprinklers run through the middle of night all week can be exhausting!

Crete has some athletes to match up with ESL. Not sure they have the size and strength to compete at the LOS. Crete tried to onside kick every kickoff against JCA. Not sure if they do that all the time, but I imagine they will employ that strategy against the Flyers.

Watching film on Crete-Monee. They use different formations. They'll use the QB Franklin at QB, and Receiver. Heck he even line up at RB. The key is going to be the defensive end. Don't let them get to the edge. Looking at the game against Washington. Their first two touchdowns were on screens. Washington had better containment and tackling. May have been a different outcome. Keep the holding penalties to a minimum. Let the kid's play. They do their job. They'll be good. Take care of business.

Crete can score some points, but nobody is going to outscore the Flyers.

I've seen ESL play four times this year. On a team loaded with talent, I've been really impressed with #21. What year is he and is he going anywhere? One of the best edge players I've seen in a long time.

I think 44 is his twin brother.

This is what COach Sunk thinks of 21:
