Biggest Question facing West Aurora this fall?
Can the Blackhawks compete with and eventually beat the higher profile teams in the Southwest Prairie Conference this fall? Confidence in the West Aurora was pretty high when they made the move from the Upstate 8 to the SW Prairie but the program has yet to win a Southwest Prairie West conference game. With a ton of experience back this fall season, the Blackhawks have high hopes for a much improved conference showing and to hopefully challenge for a state playoff spot.
Impact Player for West Aurora: SeniorRB Jeremiah Johnson is a multi-year starter and a key impact player on the Blackhawks offense this fall. Johnson will be asked to provide more offensive production and leadership on and off the field this season.
EDGY's Quick Take on the West Aurora Blackhawks: The transition for West Aurora fitting into the Southwest Prairie has been slow to come, but this team under head coach Nate Eimer is also the most experienced and also has decent depth, something that has been missing at time in the Blackhawks program. If West Aurora can get more from it's line play on both sides of the football this fall the better the chances they will have of posting some key wins inside the SWP West and beyond this season.
