Biggest Question facing Plainfield South this fall?

Can the Cougars reload at several key spots this fall and challenge for the SPC East conference title? The Cougars and head coach Bill Bicker posted a 3-1 record this past spring on a roster that included several key graduated seniors. Plainfield Souht also has a very strong early portion of the regular season schedule including Week 2 on the road at DeKalb. If the Cougars can reload at some key spots (QB/OL/DL) this summer they always have talent and speed to compete in the East.

Impact Player for Plainfield South: Take your pick between 2023 RB Brian Stanton and/or 2023 D Jake May. Stanton had a brealout season this past spring and the Cougarn fans feel he has a chance to develop into a higher level college player. Jake May is also a well known name in recruiting circles who has the talent and potential to become a FBS/FCS level name to watch.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Plainfield South Tigers: I can easily see this Plainfield South team being a much better team in say Week 4-5 compared to say Week 1-2. If the Cougars inexperienced names can develop and be varsity ready this summer, South can close that gap and challenge for a state playoff spot and beyond.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 8 vs Plainfield East. Again the key for Plainfield South will be how they attack the East portion of the regular season schedule. The Cougars could very well struggle or at least be tested early...then they can see better days ahead once conference play begins. Week 8 against Plainfield East will be a very good test for South against a more experienced Bengals team with higher expectations this fall.
