Biggest Question facing Lemont this fall?
Can the Indians regain it's hold on the South Suburban Blue this fall and make a run in Class 6A? The Indians and head coach Bret Kooi played a ton of underclassmen this past spring season, and Lemont no question is a name to watch this fall. Lemont went 4-2 this past spring and lost to state ranbked Hillkcrest and Class 8A power Bolingbrook. If the Indians can reload at a few key positions (QB/OL) they could be a Preseason Top 30 team.
Impact Player for Lemont: Senior OL Mack Indestad is one of a handful of name back on the Indians offensive line with varsity experience this fall. Indestad has terrific size (6-foot-6, 260 pounds) and he will no question draw recruiting looks this summer and fall. If Indestad and the remaining offensive linemen can gel this summer, look for Lemont to be in line for a strong fall season.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Lemont Indians: Lemont is a traditional winning program in the South suburbs and is always a title contender in Class 6A. Lemont has been reloading a bit over the last year or two and sure look to be ready for another big breakout season. With Hillcrest looking to reload a bit, Lemont will again be in the top tier for the SS Blue this fall with Hillcrest and TF South.
