Sterling VS Saint Francis

Sterling is a young team with lots of Frehman and sophomores
starting varsity they look better every week and Just hanging with Moline last week was a huge accomplishment for these kids. Getting to play SF will be great experience for them and help where they will be at a couple years down the road. It will be a moral victory if they can prevent the running clock and build even more confidence if they can keep it within a 3-4 touchdowns. Looking forward to watching SF who’s a familiar foe these last two years.

clown cup week 10

Playoff times.

A reminder for clown cup rules.

Similar to regular season, I will post 4-6 games each win and you rank them.

But, prior to the start of playoffs, you can earn additional points but picking the winner in 5 classes. Pick the winner in 8A, 7A, 6A and 5A. If you pick the winner, you get 10 points at the end of the season. Also, you can pick any state champion in Classes 1A-4A. Hit that pick and get another 10 points. In order words, if you pick 5 state champions, you will get an additional 50 points at the end of the contest.

Here are this week's. games. Rank them 12-10-8-6-5-4

Colinsville @ Batavia
Wheaton South @ Downers Grove North
Rolling Meadows @ St. Charles North
Amundsen @ Geneva
Maine South @ Naperville North
Huntley @ West Aurora

Playoff Football!

Enjoy the best time of the year. Cold temps, good tailgates, and (hopefully) good matchups! Piggybacking off another thread - and in the interest of good sportsmanship/welcoming attitudes - where should visiting fans who don't often come to your neck of the woods eat?

For PND fans coming to Rochester I regret to say the selection is fairly small. Nesty's is convenient to the field (less than half a mile) and has space to accommodate decent size groups. The food is acceptable, but I tend to stick to the appetizers when I'm there.

Also - a casual reminder - a whole lot of kids will be playing the last football games of their lives over the next 5 weeks - try not to be a dick.

Suggestion for IHSA

It seems to me that there is a greater variety of starting times this year than most. As a big newspaper guy, I used to frequent the section of sports on TV listed in order by starting time.
Since many of the games are on NFHS or YouTube it would be nice to have a guide of what time they begin. I’m not likely to scroll through 8 brackets to find a game but if I have a spare half hour and find a random 1A game that I otherwise wouldn’t watch, I might tune in.
Additionally if the home team would provide broadcast info for publication it would be helpful.
