And a young man waiting in the wings moves to a private for his last season of HS football…it sucks for all involved but families do what is best for the situation they face. I don’t blame anyone without knowing details. Doesn’t mean one likes it but you only get 4 years of HS. Good luck to all players who make this a great sport.

Good adjustments by Glenwood to shutdown the run game after the first drive. Couldn’t get anything going offensively despite doing a pretty good job neutralizing Espinosa. Knoedler looked good throwing the ball around.

I felt much better about the effort than the Belleville West scrimmage. A 3-hour Saturday morning bus ride to face a team in Edgy Tim's 6A Top Ten worried me more and more as the week went on. Week 1 type issues did occur but really thought the Rockets were in control most of the game (minus the 3rd Quarter). Certain circumstances out of Derek's control kept the score closer than what I saw on the field.

Regardless, Ritter will still be a huge challenge. They beat a pretty good Missouri team today 44-7.
