This may be controversial, but the most salient news regarding football today, even in the midst of the IHSA playoffs, is the fact that Zach Miller is fighting for his leg. Although it was a non contact injury, it did occurr in the process of the game. It was sobering to me and coupled with the CTE news inundation, I am very thankful that my son is no longer playing. That does not mean I ( and all of us ) on Edgy do not love the game but this type of news is definitely not good.

The surgeon that took care of him said that in all of his years, this type of complication has occurred in less than 10% of the cases he has handled.
Lets not be over dramatic.
I wonder how many former football players have walked into the doctors office/hospital and stated that they were NOT suffering any CTE symptoms and felt just fine. How is that study going?
