Thoughts?

After watching some film on the Blackhawks a couple of observations.
WR #1 Smith looks like Megatron! QB and RBs very good. Decent line. Tough to tell the defense but statistically very good.
I predicted the MS/NN score exactly to Edgy before the game so I’ll try again.

MS 42
WA 31

Looks about right. Expect it to be high scoring

MS 32 - WA 28 in a close game - Blackhawks may lead at halftime with a run game and blocking that will burn and control the clock while managing several long frustrating drives (10+ plays) against the Hawks. Unfortunately for WA, MS OFF has too many weapons, QB now in sync with 4 WRs, and RB can score in air or on ground…fast. Expect MS Coaches to add a couple new looks just to confuse WA pregame research, and then change again at halftime to seal the game.

West Aurora is relevant in the playoffs, wow. Major accomplishment, one I hope the community really appreciates. 94' alum here and really happy for the players and coaches, especially those former players I once played along side (Melchiori/Howell) or for (Fowler/Runge). I bet those halls will be banging Friday with that drumline and the band roaming the hallways. Never got to live that dream in HS, so I hope they really appreciate the privilege.

Nothing but respect for a formidable opponent and one thats been in the postseason for many years.

Let the best team win and penalties play no major significance in the outcome!

Will be at the game with my son. It will be his 5th game in his short fandom. He’s only seen one loss - earlier this year to Barrington. Can’t imagine seeing two in one season.

Maine South leads all game. Close though. One score until they begin to pull away late and win by 17.

Great post. Very happy for you and the school and community. It is a special time. I remember in 2005 LWE won their first State Championship. My son played on that team. The playoffs that year were unbelievable. The community was really great. My son told me that him and a few of his teammates went to McDonalds for breakfast and the owner paid for everything. It made them feel special. I hope your community does the same. Special time.
Good luck 35blackhawk!
Go WA!
