The old private/public debate! jeez. still. EASY FIX.

You must work for big government.

Adding a conference multiplier tax and having the.original private school multiplier tax.

Nuts!
Conference multiplier is a replacement for private school multiplier. Some details would need to be worked out like Independents (and perhaps minimums to deal with the odd CCL format with 4-team divisions). But a long time ago conference association was the determining factor for playoff classification. Adding a multiplier as a wrinkle (for all conferences) just acts to solidify belief that enrollment alone is only one factor. You can tweak all other factors into a broad based multiplier such that enrollment is main, but not only component to classifications.

DePaul and Chi Christian would have qualified. Christian only has a couple of past playoff wins. Going back six years, DePaul doesn’t have any. Last year may have been the first year they made it a lost in round one. They just grew in size over the last three years

Oh well, pencil in SHG vs Byron for the next two years in 3A
All.... Hold on. Despite wwhat the "Souc" has mentioned (he doesn't have 23 and 24 enrollment numbers) SHG at best has a 50- 50 shot ending up in 3A. Very small gains in those two years which I don't have in front of me. Using past class numbers in the postseason I see them as one of the very smallest teams in 4A. They will be listed in 3A preseason but that field greatly narrows when schools drop out of making the playoffs. Ratsy

they have to stay within the boundaries... is it 50 mile or 20 mile radius?

i am sure i am missing some other private schools (not just catholic) Leo, DelaSalle, Mt Carmel, Saint Rita, Bro Rice all battle for the same kids.

It's freedom of choice i guess. Go where you want as far as the private schools within the boundaries.

my post is all ignotated from the Anticoch DC complaining. calling other schools all star schools/teams. That just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe he should spend more time watching film and putting his scripts together than engaging social media... not fair for me to say that as I don't know how much time he puts in to his teams prep.

i should probably apologize but won't,
Haha I don't think you need to apologize to anyone. I always view things like if Naz and everyone's favorite Antioch swapped rosters would the old "coach better" line hold any water. For me there is a distinct advantage but that doesn't mean certain things can't be implemented to assist the competitive balance and proper class placement.

LA beat an LWE transfer qb, then a Bollingbrook transfer qb to face York.
If there’s not a football recruit on that York team it’s truly a shame! If you want to claim you're doing everything in your power to make your team excel as a coach, then you need to have someone in the fold( especially in an 8A district) that is willing to help these kids find their homes at the next level if they want to play ball. If they don’t want to do the hard work as coaches then they will continue to lose kids to area public schools as well as privates! Be part of the solution and stop whining about how unfair life is…LIFE IS UNFAIR! It’s how you handle the adversity, move past it, and excel! ESL coaching staff and community should be commended for doing what they do year in and year out for their community, and are an example of doing what others say can’t be done!
