I think MC has 9 guys with at least one FBS level offers and another 2 with FCS
Dean of Selection can give his take on them

Rice has 8 with FBS offers and another
Liggins - DT (Senior) - most of B10 and B12 - couple of SEC
Sullivan - DE (Senior) - couple of FCS offers
Gray - QB (Senior) - West Point and a couple of FCS
J Green - WR (Senior) - a couple of MAC offers and some FCS
E White - DB (Senior) - West Point and a couple of FCS
J Davis - RB (Junior) - A bunch of B12 offers
B Parks - DT (Junior) - Pretty much every top FBS program
K McGee - LB (Soph) - Pretty much every top FBS program
J McNamara - TE-DE (Soph) - Pretty much every top FBS program
So there is no reason why Rice should not be able to vye for the Blue with MC - granted MC the favorite but on any given nite who knows

Loyola has 3 guys with FBS/FCs and 3 with FCS ones

Iggy has a couple of guys who should get FCS offers

Holy Smokes - that's like IMG and ESL level - MC should run the table even in 8A and beat LA and LWE each by 21 with that amount of D1 talent
If the laws of physics prevail. But in a quantum universe, the opposite could happen.

Including girls volleyball and basketball

Essentially the 1st and 2ns string of what woukd have traditionally been MMC volleyball and basketball is now split with Marist and ninth schools are still at the top

Totally level playing field...
How many MC kids with offers are from another state. I guess the I in IHSA is just a suggestion

The "I" in IHSA means the schools are located in Illinois, not the residence of its students. Mt Carmel is located 8 miles from the Indiana state line. I would presume they have a fair amount of students, both athletes and non athletes, from Indiana.

The LWE vs MC in 8A should have 2 undefeated and 2 nationally ranked opponents playing each other. That will be a heck of a game since LWE has 6-7 guys who have D1 offers as well.

I thoroughly agree. Those other guys thought you were joking.

If LWE schedule is the same as what it was last year… it will be an uphill battle getting them a national ranking

I believe that the talent is there, but a soft schedule doesn’t get you respect nationally

That looks like a pretty solid schedule to me (all big schools)

Swagger will give them a game but, depending on how their defense is going to be, expect them to go 9-0 rather easily.

People need to understand the difference of what “non committable offers” are. It’s just a tentative expression of interest. Granted majority of these kids are and will be power 4 ready when comes to signing days. But expect a handful to end up at the FCS level. You’ll see a lot of this over on 99th Pulaski, it just happened this year. Combine players with subpar game film don’t make it to signing day.

In a perfect world any school that "offers" any kid ...I feel that "offer" should be committable on the spot....if colleges want to offer a 7th grade QB let them...but also allow the kid/parent able to lock in that offer at any time. Again this will never happen. Also "people" need to understand that the available pool of scholarship offers is probably down like 60-70 percent at the high school level now compared to life pre portal scholarship era.....that also has had a huge impact on kids signing on signing day.

Couldn't agree more. If an offer is made, whether it be to a 7th grader or a Senior, the kid should be able to hold the school to it and cash in on the scholarship. No more of these stupid offers just for show.

Yes, Maine South has the best chance to pin a loss on East. Kankakee, much like Crete-Monee non-con in recent years, will not likely have enough. Former SWSC foes of LWE like Lockport, H-F and Sandburg have not had nearly the teams recently to take them down. Even with good squads last season, neither of the 2 Napervilles came within 21 points of the Griffins. The 2 Valley schools, Neuqua and Metea, currently might not be able to combine teams to beat East.

I think Kankakee is going to drop again. Not to a Tridge or Bloom level, but not a contender. Harts players are now out of the system.
