Nobody is getting exposure off of streams.I would love to watch the Naz game
It’s unfortunate that no one will get to see it unless they are there live
If your kid played there , you would want them to get as much exposure as possible
I have to assume that the football parents have to be pretty vocal about Cassica not having the ability to pull off a stream
If only there was a thing called Hudl where colleges could pull game film from virtually every high school player in America.Nobody is getting exposure off of streams.
Well that about sums up the night for SF. Rita was impressive, they’ll make some noise in 7A. Have to imagine they’re better than the 28-0 showing against MC earlier in the year.
SF has a lot to clean up but this is why you play in the CCL. A couple years back they could cruise through games and win against an inferior opponent until IC in week 9. I expect them to bounce back like they did last year after the Fenwick loss.
Best of luck to Rita the rest of the way. One of the classiest fanbases out there.
Based on some offers I've seen, you don't even need good game tape anymore. A couple splash plays, some great measurables, and maybe a camp showing and you might land some significant offers. Brave new worldIf only there was a thing called Hudl where colleges could pull game film from virtually every high school player in America.
The 28-0 is a little deceiving. Was 14-0 at start of the 4th. Rita had been inside the 5 and missed a FG. Dang it DOS. Great perspective again. I never mind what the public perception is of the first game of the season between the two storied programs. The 28-0 is a little deceiving. Great point! "Trick Plays" should always be a part of the repertoire! And that list includes fake FGs and punts. Let's do this, Cascia! And further more on that 14-0 lead by MC that was the main difference in the game, the lead came via two ‘trick’ plays: a flea-flicker and reverse. But I don’t call them trick plays, they are smart plays that are used by Jordan unapologetically to gain a victory. I hope that can be accomplished by the St. Rita staff when like-talent teams are competing.
The last 3 weeks MC sounds like they've exploded in the 4th quarter. The 28-0 is a little deceiving. Was 14-0 at start of the 4th. Rita had been inside the 5 and missed a FG. MC was in control the whole time but the score is deceiving.
I can't believe I'm defending MC, but they've also played an exceptional schedule thus far with the notable exception of the letdown last week. I think the D is vulnerable, but also not as bad as it looks. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets figured out by week 10MC D has let up more than a season of points as compared to any team in the last 30 years
Not sure if it is depth
Talent
Or schemes
If MC would have beaten Hun, every conversation would be different. It would be Naz and Iggy are so good, they hung with MC. But now it’s “the sky is falling” on Dante. 🙄. For the record, we did also score the most points in history against Hun. 😉I can't believe I'm defending MC, but they've also played an exceptional schedule thus far with the notable exception of the letdown last week. Great point. All the teams mentioned directly or alluded to in this thread, St. Rita, St. Francis, Mt. Carmel and Nazareth will, like many other IHSA Football tournament teams, be different animals come week 10. Here’s to a great next 5 weeks leading up to playoff football.I can't believe I'm defending MC, but they've also played an exceptional schedule thus far with the notable exception of the letdown last week. Things are never quite as good or as bad as you think. MC has had better defenses, but the level of the teams they played is extremely high. Hun just won again at a ranked Georgia team 37-31, Naz will probably win rest of their games, SICP is a tough offense to prep for. Our offense scores so quickly that the defense is right back out there, not like days of yore where we had the clock moving on the ground. Also, lots of youth out there with Tucker (frosh) at NG and Harris (soph) rotating in and sophs starting at LB (Igwebuike) and CB (Harrington). The next 4 games are key for me to see improvement before LA week 9.Great point. All the teams mentioned directly or alluded to in this thread, St. Rita, St. Francis, Mt. I see improvement everywhere. The much-maligned Caravan defense is starting to develop. Everyone has said since August that they are young and inexperienced, which is true. The sideline camera at Barda-Dowling shows how young they really are. But they are visibly improving every week, sometimes gradually and sometimes dramatically, as adolescents will do. The talent hasn't been hiding itself, but it's becoming more apparent.to see improvement
I wonder what offers Mr. Buckner is getting? He deserves a shot.I see improvement everywhere. The much-maligned Caravan defense is starting to develop. Take, for example, Q. Burell, a sophomore who already reminds me of Damarrion Arrington. Or transfer Cooper Lehman, who is as fast and sure-handed as Denny Furlong. And Elliott? Elliott is running like Jordan Lynch. Neither Joey Quinn or Braedon Jones have looked like Richard Dent out there, but they both have that potential.
Since this is a Rita thread, I should acknowledge that Rita is tracing the same upward curve as Carmel, with Justin Bucker only one of several stars emerging on that team.
A few FCS schools offered him along with some D2’s schools.I wonder what offers Mr. Buckner is getting? He deserves a shot.
Heck, with 1-32 seeding, why not November 30th at Hancock Stadium for the 105th meeting.Rita in the playoffs? Again? Seems more than likely.
I've posited "one game at a time," but for me, it's an 8-1 or 7-2 Rita hosting a 1st Round opponent in 7A.Rita in the playoffs? Again? Seems more than likely.
@RockSoup Pops was RB at Bloom Trail HS. c/o 89. We(Bloom Trojans) used to take them to the woodshed with the likes of NFL Hall of Famer Bryant Young and Michigan Wolverine Marcus Walker. The good ole Sica East days.....@chakazulu89 correct me if I’m wrong but I think JBuck’s Pops was a stud RB at Marian Catholic or one of the Rich Township directional schools back in his day and went on to maybe Iowa State after HS? Rich South Star? Rich East Rocket?
Dang it. I’m out of the family now. 😂 I knew that. Man, what a team. Don’t have JBuck run me over Friday night for mot remembering correctly.@RockSoup Pops was RB at Bloom Trail HS. c/o 89.
