What will you miss about the Free Board
If you've been on this site for any amount of time you already know the draw/appeal and the history of the Free Football message board. Yet many also don't know the behind the scene drama, issues, lawsuits and such that has also gone on regarding the free message board.
In short....I've been trying to keep the free board alive and remain a safe haven for all IHSA football fans to have a home to talk and interact....it's become more and more of a struggle each year and the issues/drama and flat out political and social issues that unfortunately seep or get dragged willingly into every damn discussion gets incredibly tiring to manage/monitor etc.
Also understand the following....I generally make very little if any revenue that would be generated from the Free Board...and the amount of clicks/etc that the board generates is strong but not something that would make me want to continue to put up with the non stop policing/monitoring the free board....I'm currently in the process of finding an escape plan for the elimination of the free board....including looking into who are some of the more active/strong free board posters and rewarding them for being strong members with a comp to the pay side etx.
I always welcome your thoughts and insights and will happily answer any questions/suggestions you might have on this but do not be surprised to see the Free Board closed some day with zero notice.
