Great game to watch. Congrats to both teams. Beatty getting hurt in the 4th quarter was probably the difference.
Man I love the Leonard Bowl. Just the absolute best of HS football. Good clean game with minimal penalties. Great execution. GREAT sportsmanship.

Major props to the team at rocket tv and their server team. It’s not easy getting that many people online at one time to watch a game that was very clear not any buffering and great commentary by 1450 team. Wish I could of been there but this cough won’t stop and not thinking the cold air was a great idea
Did the commentators say Ken Leonard has 403 wins in 39 years? Is that accurate? Averaging over 10 wins for 40 years. That's really impressive.
I don't think there is a giant public vs private gap in the greater Chicagoland area. There is in Springfield.
Pretty much guaranteed a minimum of 7 wins in the regular season and 3 in the playoffs every year considering the talent gap.
It was a big factor. But the Rocket defense also couldn’t get off the field in the 2nd half.

So you don't think what he has done is impressive? Those wins are guaranteed because of the program he has built.
Not discounting what he has done. He built and maintained an amazing program. Someone had asked about comparing it to a Chicago conference. It would be like putting Loyola in the a closed conference with the local public schools. They would roll everyone except Maine South and then be highly seeded in the playoffs so likely have 10+ wins a year.
Fair enough. But with Beatty at 100% at the end, it would have been exciting. Congrats on a great win. Really enjoyed watching the game. I hope the Hilltoppers can win tommorow and meet the Cyclones in Dekalb next week.
All..... 100% is a funny thing. SHG hasn't been that since before the season regardless what you might have heard. A late injury in a game maybe or not. Having talked with Rocket fans Beatty the stud he is has taken dings for quite some time. Rolling that dice eventually has consequences at unexpected times. Ratsy
