I actually am a huge fan. I've encountered the team at the public beach in Naperville with my kids on several occasions. They are always gentlemen and frankly their high dive exploits are tremendous.

RPI has played (and won) a ton of close games this year. In fact, practically every game they play is close. On paper, I don't see them hanging with NCC for long. Look for NCC to be in control by mid-third quarter.

Local CG kid, Dan Gilroy, is a defensive end and has been having a good year. Great kid from a great family. Fun to watch the locals excel at a level beyond what they did in H.S., as injuries impacted his senior year at CG.

All conference and player of the week, better person than player, and he has turned into a complete stud as a player. Hoping I can make it on Saturday to the game.

He certainly suffered some injuries in HS, but not sure it was his senior year. regardless, great to see him blossom.

55-6 is just dumb.

Central college was 10-0 and played Bethel and Wheaton in the first two rounds. All there would have won by 40 today.

Two possible reasons out there…

1-Ncc’s stadium doesn’t show well on ESPN. They do only have temporary seating on the visiting side in which would be shown during the plays.

2-ESPN wanted an earlier start time for viewership so a EST time zone in Ohio was better.

The NCAA has determined that Mount Union is the higher seed, so they get the home game. In 2010 Whitewater was forced to travel to NCC for a playoff game despite being ranked ahead of them all year. Complete bull☆☆☆☆.

Got nothing to do with defending champs or last time they played each other. May have to do with SOS. You’re right they have donkey stomped everyone. Wheaton was the only decent team in the conference. So that may be the reason. Not sure. This happens more than some think. The committee doesn’t go off the polls. They go off their ranking.

They factor in previous playoff success

They factor in previous seasons (NCC besting Mount in Ohio in their way to the title 2 years ago should mater

NCC was the #1 team in the country after the Wheaton game for the next 9 weeks.

NCC appeared to be the #1 seed when the rankings were released.

NCC is not happy right not and feels extremely sided. This will be a good motivator for them and will work on their favor.

The real crappy thing is the title game is in Ohio now. You are asking NCC parents/fans to potentially travel to Ohio on back to back weekends. I’m sure there will be people that won’t be able to do that.

ps: I’m not an NCC alum/parent/etc… just a D3 fan and want to live in a world of truth and fairness. This isn’t right.
