CCHS varisty baseball is 17-4 (8-0 ESCC) going into this weeks H/A series with the Lions. I don't know how you define success for a first year VHC, but I'd say the Corsairs certainly haven't stumbled one bit.
Coach May has a long way to go to match his successful predecessor, but, I'd also say he at least deserves some props up to this point (in addition Carmel has played a pretty tough schedule).
