Post Prep Bowl Pairings here

It’s confusing the way they do it well the CPS. Catholic League if you don’t want to play you don’t. Then the ones that do wait now on the first round of the playoffs to end then do the pairings. I do wish they would have first round games again though involving teams not in the state playoffs. If you get beat in round 2 you can play in the Prep Bowl playoffs. Round 3? I don’t think so. Easy. Then you have the CPS. Certain conferences can’t make state or city playoffs. Some conferences you can make both but only the city playoffs if you play in certain conferences & finish in a certain place. Some conferences can make state playoffs but not city. I think too after round 2 loss you can’t get in but think they’ve made exceptions. So in most years you’ll have the best City team play against the 4th-10th or less best Catholic team. I do miss the CPS 1st round games but think now if you don’t make the state playoffs you can’t play in the city playoffs though they used to

CPS White West 3 eligible 1 in. I’m guessing the top 2 only get in & the 2nd place team has to have 6 wins not 5 or else they don’t get in & no city playoffs

CPS White Southwest 3 eligible 2 in so I guess regardless of your record as a team in that conference if you finish 3rd or lower you don’t get in & no city playoffs

CPS White South Central 3 eligible 1 in. Again the 2nd place team I guess has to win 6 games because these teams have 5 wins & didn’t get in & no city playoffs

CPS White Northwest 3 eligible 2 in & no city playoffs. If you win 6 games. Carver & Noble Rauner both went 6-3 but didn’t get in the state playoffs because they didn’t finish in 2nd or 1st in their Conferences. But if you do finish 2nd & only win 5 games in certain White Conferences you can’t make the state playoffs but could win 5 or 6 in certain other white conferences & get in regardless of what place you finish in. Makes total sense yeah. The logic too is that those teams in the Blue would get destroyed in the city & state playoffs but wth do you think has been happening for years with eligible CPS teams in the state playoffs? And same with white who can make state but not city

Rice guys should call the school's development office and register loud complaints.

The Prep Bowl is a great opportunity for your program. Of course, your program does mine no favors so I don't know why I'm writing.

Why is the coach a Dbag? It's time to let the kids wrestle and play basketball

If kids want to do that that’s fine. They have plenty that can play in the Prep Bowl Playoff. They had a situation here where a school very good in basketball but not in football had a great year in football. The basketball coach did not want the kids to play football & hurt his basketball team. They got a new football coach who was well liked & got those kids to play football & they had an amazing year. Got to the quarterfinals & the basketball coach was having to play some JV guys & losing until he could get his players back. In the quarters 2 of the best football players who were monsters on offense & defense went out early “hurt” and they lost by 14. Found out basketball coach told them to fake injuries so they’d lose. He got a slap on the wrist & the football coach quit & they haven’t been good since.

How many kids play football at Rice... 80? Hoopers can go ahead and then seniors that don't want to hang up the cleats just yet get to play.. plus they could bring up all the frosh/sophs they want for them + new staff to get valuable reps against other CCL schools.
Or you could have a total loser attitude..
