I've seen MP play several times this year their strategy is to play 7 on 7 in pads IMO:rolleyes:. CPL wasn't as competitive this year so them being tested since Marist hasn't happen. Last week seeing Tinley Park didn't show much besides if your team eats the clock they also need to be able to score the ball.
I'm taking the drive to Metamora, But will this be a ball game or should i just look for a place to eat after the game ?

I watched the MP/Marist game on You Tube. Granted Jovan Clark didn't play but Marist DL, especially the 2 DE's, just dismantled MP OL. The QB was running just about every pass play. It was the first game of the year and it was hot, so maybe the MP OL has improved but it looked like to me is that they way to beat them and negate their speed is having a strong front 7.

Tinley Park barely beat Argo so they didn’t rank high in my book.

I don't think this is your father's Metamora anymore.

If this was the late 90s/early 00s the Birds roll.

I can see MoPo beating Metamora.

Pretty crazy how Metamora has the better basketball team, whereas Morgan Park is likely the better football team nowadays.

Since the transferring got out of control the CPS Hoops domination has gone from numerous strong teams to 3 or 4 that seem to exchange power. Simeon is consistent but we'll see how Flowers holds as HC. Curie would be next with recent consistency and Kenwood kinda took over for Morgan Park but their coach recently resigned so we'll see how that translates

Only an observation, not a judgment, but more schools use this strategy, especially with a mobile QB. This may include throwing out of one's own end zone and in short-yardage situations. They bring their summer 7-on-7 offense into the regular season adding a small number of runs (a couple each from 1 or 2-back sets) from which flow side or misdirection pass can be called. Weather trends in recent years provide compatible conditions more often than not, particularly early in the schedule and even beyond. "When ya' throw, ya' go!!??"

If Tinley was able to control the clock, Metamora will be able to do the same. Also more likely to actually score.

Whitney young, Curie, Simeon consistent. Kenwood underclass stars that remain will hit the portal next season depending on the permanent coach. AAU connections rule the hiring process.

All.... An FYI. The school parking lot fills up early with rabid Redbird fans. Many fans end up having to park in front of homes in the nearby neighberhood. Ratsy

Copy that, should I am for 12:30-1pm in order to get a spot in the lot
All.... Back in the day when Coach Ryan was around the fans were really crazy and got to the stadium hours early. Metamora football while still successful is not at that level and fan attendance I'm told is down. Last time I made the trip was many years ago when the team I follow SHG was playing them. I got there a couple hours early and made it into the lot. That was during Coach Ryan's run.

They haven't had a second round game at home since 2016. I would think the place will be packed. The earlier the better. Ratsy
