Loyola (Hollywood) vs LW East (Beast)

The Ritter family has supplied the LWE school with phenomenal athletes and more importantly superb human beings. Jacob spent three years in the football program and was groomed to be the heir apparent at QB1. Marist was blessed this season to have him and the play on the field was an example of his abilities. Situations arose at Bolingbrook which were not favorable to the development of football players and Jonas Williams looked for improvement. If you have had the chance to speak with Jonas you also would realize he and his family are top shelf folks. Go Griffins!

Final thoughts and prediction. New year, new teams, new players. Prior scores and victories, losses don't matter. All that matters is now. LWE went out and got a QB ( a real good one to boot)! If you can't beat them - I guess you join them..! LWE at home ! Revenge / payback (call it whatever you want) on the minds of the LWE faithful /fans. Motivation indeed! I like the underdog. LA 31 - LWE - 24.

Loyola is at minimum the 3rd best team in the state hands down this year. However #1 is East St. Louis who they lost to 34-7 Week 1, and #1A I believe is Lincoln-Way East and the game is in Frankfort. Total homer pick here and my first ever on this site, but East wins by at least 14 points. See y'all in 24 hours to either gloat or sulk lol.

I guess you’re sulking today?

Should be an easy one to ID the culprit as the person was at the Marist game as well last week…and there were about 300 LA fans. It made the viewing of last years championship game a real pain on tape and in person. Sportsmanship should be handled by your own fans for this one folks.
If you were there last night, how did that work out for ya?

Perfectly! Didn’t hear anything from noise makers or air horns. Thanks for the concern Ramblinman. Good luck next Saturday as well. I did appreciate the increase in spectators from LA over the Marist game….us public’s need the revenue to field a team.

Almost as annoying as the vuvuzela’s coming from the LWE sideline.

Really? I didn’t notice. Thanks for attending.

I set behind a Kid that was blowing that horn all game. He was probably 5-6 and the parents were obviously oblivious! Terrible. Listen I am close to retirement but man that is tough to take. Just saying. East needs to get control of this 💩. I get cheering totally fine. Those horns are annoying and should be banned from any sporting event. It’s not (IMO) fair to any of the fans home or away.

Undisciplined public school fans. Nothing worse.

Corey - you’re reading too much into it. It was sarcasm. /s. Relax.
Poor taste in sarcasm Dave. You’re new here so you haven’t earned your stripes for Sarcasm. Lol
I get it. But the public/private thing gets under my skin. I don’t care about if it public/private I just want good football and good people. 👍

Honestly I didn’t because the idiots on the home side were blowing them every chance they could. Annoying.
I mean seriously I am older but even fans 30 years younger have to getting annoyed with this crap. I will say this isn’t just East more and more home teams are allowing this crap.

Yup. I tried arguing this same point after a St. Francis vs St. Rita game last year where there was an annoying car horn out in Wheaton, and it was even blaring when Rita was lined up for an offensive play. I was basically told I was a killjoy. It's a good battle to fight even though it's an uphill battle these days.

Hell hath no fury like a band parent upset the officials told the band to stop playing while the opposing team is getting ready to snap.
