Well…. Most agree this is the 8A title game. And Loyola finally had to come Frankfort for a game. What does everyone think will happen? Can’t be a better semi game in the state than this game!

It will be in Frankfort visit for the first time ever for Loyola in these two teams matching up.

Will the faithful from Wilmette drive down to the slums of Frankfort? Will their GPS fail in transit as it is significantly further than the Marist RedHawks stadium where there was a slim turnout for the Loyola followers. Can the fan from Wilmette leave the air horn at home or will it continue to be a part of the broadcast annoying ritual? Those are the real questions for this game.

  • 2023 Loyola Academy won 26-15
  • 2022: Loyola Academy won 13-3
  • 2021: Loyola Academy won 3-0
  • 2018: Loyola Academy won 24-16
  • 2017: Lincoln-Way East won 23-14
🤷

And the results playing in Frankfort are? Let’s pack the stadium folks of HS football. Just head south on LaGrange avenue until you see cows…then do a U-turn and head back north 1 mile to Lincoln-Way East.

I think it will be another great game that just about everyone thought would happen. I am sure this is the game that East wanted. The old saying if you want to be the best you got to play the best.
I am interested in hearing what MS has to say since they played both teams.

Go East.

Don't see Loyola having a shot here, no one does half time adjustments like coach z

Yes. When he puts in the backups… that’s the magic. He’s absolute best at it.
No one better

I believe the Loyola folks are waiting to head south to see a game only on November 30. Since there is no Wally’s in Frankfort they will wait to stop in Pontiac on the way to ISU. I would say the crowd on the visitors side will be less than 300 folks. The Griffins are just another irritant on the path.

This is not the normal LA team from years past. Offense is super bland. They should let Bliss call the plays. Anyway if the MS defense can stop them for a half I feel like Beast should be able to do it for the whole game. Score should be 42-14 Beast but I think it will be more like a two score game. Please end this reign of terror!
#stopthe3peat!!

Loyola is also good at halftime adjustments. This will be a tough game unless East jumps to a quick lead.
Can anyone give any specific Xs and Os adjustment(s) made by either team in the recent past? I read this phrase often used as a generality without any actual support.

It's, "Jonny - you need to fill this gap. Bobby, that was your gap - now you are gapless and allowed to roam free. Billy - you suck and Artie will be replacing you."

Additional to this, does Zvonar call the defense?

Depends on what is happening in the game. It may changing the defensive scheme to stop the run or pass. It may be offensive adjustments or play calls. If you watch the game you will notice adjustments made in the 2nd half. Every game is different and good coaches pickup on what’s working and what’s not.

What adjustments? All their games have been over by halftime. The only adjustments have been who else is going in and when.

Define” winning” after halftime adjustments😄
If you haven’t trailed this season at halftime but you increase the lead after the half is it defined as “winning”? Either way it is a good situation for any coach to be in.
