Loss of a great Red Horde and Catholic Leaguer

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. With a heavy heart I regret to inform those that knew him of the passing of Darrin Trieb. A proud Weber and Purdue alum. Darrin was a great football player and even better man. Condolences to his family. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.

One of the great players the Catholic League produced in mid to late eighties. I think they had a nice RB at Weber too around that time, Thurman or Thompson?

Brian Thurman was a few years younger and also played at Purdue. He played a couple years in the CFL and NFL too. Unfortunately he ran into problems in life a few years ago.
