Jeff Thorne is leaving NCC to coach at Western Michigan University with his friend and former teammate Tim Lester.

Brad Spencer takes over. 20 year assistant at NCC, played WR there back in the day, and a Naperville Central grad as well.

Jeff Thorne is leaving NCC to coach at Western Michigan University with his friend and former teammate Tim Lester.

Tim is 5 years younger then Jeff who was the part time QB coach when time Tim played.

This is good move WMU is probably the top spot in the MAC.

Thorne out as coach at North Central

North Central joins Mary Hardin-Baylor as Stagg Bowl teams which will have new coaches next season, as the school announced Brad Spencer as its new head football coach, with Jeff Thorne heading to D-I Western Michigan.

This is a move that has been in the works for awhile....and take away COVID and I could have seen this go down in 2019.....happy for both involved.

Wonder why it didn’t happen sooner. Wasn’t the position offered when his kid was going into college?

It’s great timing. He’ll be able to see his kid play more since the MAC plays tons of weekday games.

It was going down right before COVID hit from what I had heard....

EIU just hired the U of C coach Wilkerson for the top spot. Former Panther.

Jeff should have the best seat in the house to watch Payton play on Sept 3. Western Michigan plays at Michigan State 😳
