I have fitted thousands of helmets in my life and I can tell you that guys with dreads never have a proper fit. Even bushy hair can change the fit.The numbers on the back of the jersey are pretty large and his hair covers almost all of it. It's fair game. How well does a helmet fit with all that hair?
OkayCorrect me if wrong, but I was recently informed that "dreadlocks" are now to be called just "locks" due to the negative connotation of "dread." My wife relayed this to me from a black female co-worker - honestly.
That's the first that I've ever heard of that. I usually use the term "dreads" and that's what I hear most of the time from others. Could be a generational thing though.Correct me if wrong, but I was recently informed that "dreadlocks" are now to be called just "locks" due to the negative connotation of "dread." "Locks" just sounds suburban to me. LOL I just can't imagine hearing Lil Jon screaming "shake your 'locks' in this b!$#!" LOL It has to be generational.Thinking about it, I have heard more Black folks calling them locks recently. I assumed for expediency but maybe not.
Help prevent concussions. You also just have to tell the kids how to style his locks to fit the type of helmet issued. Haven't had a problem yetNever been a fan of dreads on football players. For one the helmet never fits correctly. Secondly for reasons like this video.
