I'll stand by my initial estimate...over/under on when Trubisky starts is 8 games.
This allegedly was a big game for Glennon, since he was playing his former team. LOL
I was thinking the same damn thing! He cannot escape from a pass rush at all; he's obviously immobile, although Cutler had some mobility. With a ball-control type offense, I would think the QB should be more mobile to extend drives and keep the clock running. Are they wanting to go 0 - 16?
I was wondering why they didn't put MT in today? Too lopsided of a victory? Give him a week with the A team? WR's too damn bad; what good would it do?
Can anyone name the receivers on this team? Glennon was brutal but when you have no one to throw to it doesn't help.
At least one of them (#15, I think) should have the nickname of Stone Hands. I am rooting for Gentry, though; that was MT's main target against the 2nd/3rd stringers.
If you're looking to make excuses for the QB, the O-line is where you should start today. They didn't run or pass block. Glennon consistently had guys in his face, and he might be the most immobile QB (not a good combination).
Here's the best case scenario: it's pretty clear the Bears are going to have another high pick. Trubisky proves himself to be the Bears' QB of the future by the end of the year, so they won't need to take a QB in the 1st round. The Bears trade with a team that is desperate for a QB and is willing to overpay for a high pick....the Bears get back a haul of picks on which to build a team around Trubisky. Their needs are many: WR, O-line, DB etc. etc.
No excuses he sucks. But the problem extends well beyond him. The OL is hurt and bad, the linebacking corps is depleted and our receivers couldn't catch a cold in a room full of sick people.
If this organization is trying for he first overall pick next spring fine by me. But I will have a hard time watching what I watched today.

Over the past few seasons I said no QB could win with this team. And Trubisky won't either unless a lot of things change. I can't wait to see the papers and all the sportswriters with their hangman's nooses out for Glennon. Now it's his turn, just as Cutler took his. By the way, Cutler and the Dolphins won and are 1-0. Just thought I'd throw that in because I'm sure he wishes he was still here.
I think we all knew Glennon wasn't the answer, but I am not very excited to watch Trubisky run for his life week after week either.
And mark my words, the day will come when this sorry-assed organization loses with Trubisky at the helm and the long knives will be out there for him too. I didn't see much of the game today because I had better things to do. But what I saw made me want to puke. Last week someone said it was nice to see a QB who didn't turn the ball over. Hahaha!!
The Bears have too many holes to fill and they are going to have to have several real good drafts and FA signings. This is just a mess and they may be the worst team in football.

I honestly don't think I could watch Glennon start another game. Mike Glennon should not be the QB of a team without any WR's and with a injury-plagued OL. Let the rookie do what he can do and just maybe he makes his WR's just a little bit better along with the OL. Just a tad--not asking for much.
I think we let MT get in there soon and see what he can do. Three weeks into his tenure, if he's getting smashed every game, then shut his ass down for the year and roll Glennon back out there.
The Bears ran the ball pretty well against the Falcons, so the Buccaneers were ready for it. Maybe the coaching staff should've done more play-action. I believe only this year is guaranteed money for Glennon--at least, I hope.
If the Bears put and leave Trubisky out there for three weeks, he may not remember his name at the end of the 3rd game.
Leave Glennon in there at least until after the bye or until week 12. Let him take the beating while tanking for a top 3 draft pick. Trade that pick for multiple picks since there will be plenty of teams salivating over this upcoming crop of QB's. This bears team has way too many holes to fill and Mitch Trubisky is gonna need weapons next year or we will see more of the same.

Because that's what meathead sportswriters and some fans of this team do. I remember the sportswriters wondering what the hell the Bears were doing when they drafted Trubisky after signing Glennon. Then Trubisky takes his first few snaps in the preseason and these same sportswriters have been on a mission to drive Glennon out of the starting position.
I am no real fan of Hub Arkush, but he writes the best articles on the Bears by far. He gets it more than any of those clowns. The guy looks at the entire picture and that picture hasn't been very pretty. His article today is a good one as usual.
For three years I have been coming to this board challenging anyone to give me a QB who can with with this team and there haven't been any takers. Why? Because there aren't any QBs who can win with this sorry bunch. The Bears simply don't have the manpower to win more games than they lose. And it's been that way for far too long.

The Bears, their apologists, and some of the local media experts are all saying that Trubisky isn't ready to takeover the starting QB role. Some of these same people go so far as to say that it could be detrimental to his development, and even his career, if he were to be the starter now.
However, Glennon is a concussion or broken finger or sprained ankle away from sitting and Trubisky, at #2 on the depth chart with Sanchez at #3 and inactive for games, would be the starting QB by default. If Trubisky truly isn't ready, and if putting him in there would have a negative impact on his development, WHY is he #2 on the depth chart?
All those reasons for keeping Glennon in there and for giving Trubisky time to develop go straight out the window if Glennon gets hurt!
