Happy Veterans Day Gene K ...

I hesitate to say "Happy" Veterans Day. I look at it more as commemorative than happy. That does not mean I don't think people can say "Happy Veterans Day." To each his, or her own. We all commemorate things differently.

I want to take a moment to thank every man and woman who have served in the military in every aspect. On this board and in our worlds we are given the opportunity to voice our opinions. We disagree and we even argue. But, that right is given to us by those brave people who serve to keep us free.

These are very special people who did things most of us simply wouldn't or can't do. And thank God they did it. See a veteran, say thank you.

I can't even imagine the thought of living anywhere else than here. And while we have problems, issues and disagreements we deal with, this is still, by far, the best place to live on the planet. And it's these people we have to thank for that. We all most likely have family members and people we know who are currently serving or have served.

Sorry for the long post. But Veterans Day, Memorial Day the 4th of July, and all commemorative Military days have a very large impact on me. And there are a bunch of them throughout the year. Thank you to all veterans.
