I wore a Caravan T-shirt tonight, which caught the attention of a passer-by whose son went to Mt. Carmel and played outside linebacker for Frank Lenti. Here's the catch: the kid lived in Wilmette and travelled every day to 64th & Dante. No doubt he had a car. But Frank didn't recruit him and MC didn't poach him. He just wanted to play football for Mount Carmel.

Its also outside of the 30 mile radius and illegal but other than that great story.
Wilmette to Hyde Park could very possibly be within the 30 mile radius. If not it has to be very close. Wilmette is 37 miles to Brother Rice, that said it has to be within 30 of MC.

North Chicago is 10-15 miles past Wilmette.

So you basically just admitted that Mt Carmel cheated, congrats.
No! I just admitted that wilmette to MC is 27 miles. Maybe m reading skills are challenged…….. Where is North Chicago coming into play here?

MC had a football player from North Chicago (the town near Waukegan) about ten years ago. that's devotion.
Reading is key to success

This timeline also matches up with a MC state title they should do the honorable thing and return the trophy.

Still not really that great of a story. More like an interesting anecdote.

Dennis Rodman just leaving the Bulls in 97 or 98 for a weekend trip to Vegas with Carmen Electra only to have Michael Jordan show up to the hotel and drag him back? Now that’s a story.
Now here is a fun story from 97-98, I was 22 then. I once told Carmen Electra that I was taken and I didn't want her phone number. She was cleaning out her purse at the craps table at Hollywood Casino and asked me for a pen to write something down. Dennis was there with Chelios, a guy from the band Tool and Carmen. The stories I have from those years.......I worked there thru college and generally got to work with his group when they came in. Small world, come to find out one of his bodyguard friends was a good friend of my RBs coach in college.

You likely worked with my sister and her friends. They were in the restaurant and “hung” with that group often.

Maybe the kid was an exchange student? Woodlawn and Wilmette may only be 27 miles apart but in other ways they’re worlds apart.

I told her it was the greatest story I ever heard, and we had a good laugh at Loyola's expense. I don't imagine that many of the Notre Dame beloved shed tears when Loyola loses. I'll get the full story if I see her again.
