My impressions of Brooks Bahr:

I have been able to see Brooks Bahr play live twice over the past two seasons in person for the Loyola Academy Ramblers, along with seeing Bahr at a handful of different camps and showcase events. Bahr, who wasn't able to crack the Loyola starting lineup until this past fall had an impressive 2021 junior season for Loyola. Bahr over the past month has been piling up several scholarship offers including more and more Power 5 looks and offers this winter. Bahr no question passes the all important eyeball test. Bahr has impressive size/width and a big frame and he will be very capable to adding more good size and strength at the high college level.

Evaluation of Brooks Bahr:

Brooks Bahr has a ton of upside and physical tools and is a kid who can and will continue to get better and better over the next year plus. Bahr has impressive length and quickness, gets off the snap well and showed a really good combination of quick hands, strong pass rush moves and Bahr also plays with an extremely high motor who never gives up on a play. Bahr overall length and reach is also highly impressive and he uses it to his advantage against smaller high school linemen. Bahr also makes good reads and reacts well and always seems to be in position to make a play.

Room for improvement?

Bahr will need to continue to improve his overall speed and quickness for the college level. Bahr also will need to add more strength and power and whether he's playing inside or outside at the high college level, Bahr will need to continue to develop and improve his overall game and splay to play recognition along with becoming a bit quicker with his reads and reaction time.

Projected level:

Brooks Bahr is already adding multiple Power 5 offers this winter and will no question play at a high Power 5 level in college. Bahr has the overall size, frame and upside potential to become bigger and stronger and his physical potential alone will continue to attract majoe Power 5 attention this spring.

Rivals.com Ranking: Brooks Bahr is currently ranked as a 3 star recruit by Rivals.com. Bahr is also initially ranked as the 11th best player in the State of Illinois Class of 2023 rankings.

EDGYTIM Recommended Initial Rankings: Low Four Star. Brooks Bahr has a ton of upside, and in many ways I feel he really has just begun to scratch the surface when it comes to his overall game and potential at the high college level. Bahr will be a much different looking player in a year or two compared to today...and Bahr has already had a tremendous size and weight gain just to get to this point of his high school career. Bahr I feel will end up playing inside on defense...yet he also has the ability to become moved all over on the defensive line.
