EastSide at CreekSide: 10-7 Final GA Wins

The defense still looks strong. The offense has always been stagnant when we don’t have that one game changer. Not scoring an offensive touchdown in an entire game is concerning but they will figure it out. Creekside defensive line was good.

Yes but that O-line is a veteran O-line they had NO push at all, it starts in the trenches

At least they’re good at 7 on 7 😉

The difficulty i m having is that during the summer it seems like the impression being given on this site about East St. Louis is that it had a college-size offensive line and so many skill-position players that it might be one of the elite groups of skill players in the entire country. Now, I m reading that EStL does not have a game changer which flies in the face of summer rhetoric. Since the vast majority of the next 7-8 weekends are likely to be one-sided wins, perhaps someone much smarter than I can do the math on something else. It is too often written that top teams in Illinois won’t play the Flyers. I would like a cost analysis of a home and home series between Maine South and the Flyers as opposed to Maine South and Warren. For Maine South both the Flyers and Devils provide the quality competition that the Hawks are looking for. For the Maine South home game I would gues that attendance would be virtually the same vs. both opponents. So what is the cost for Maine South to play at Warren vs playing at East St. Louis. One bus round trip to Warren is 50 miles and one bus round trip to EStL is 530 miles and tops 10 miles per diesel gallon. Drivers get paid what? $25 per hour? Bus driver checks in at 5 am. Bus leaves Maine south at 6 and returns to the bus bar by what? Midnight? That’s a 17 hour day and does not include bus stopping for food or washroom breaks. The point is, Maine south gets a great challenge playing the Flyers or the Devils. Perhaps it makes no economical sense for a trip to play Flyers when strong competition is so much closer. I have zero idea about the finances of a football road trip for a regular season game but I would like someone much smarter than to see the. OST yo play at eat stop Louis. I mean team would need what 3 busses just for varsity players snd coaches. Snd cheer squad would need a bus and what about team equipment? Listen playing East St. Louis is a great experience for a quality team but so is playing Warren or Loyola or Mt. Carmel. I would like to see cost analysis of road games to Warren and East St Louis to see how much time the Maine south ds are going to spend in the spring and summer holding car wash fundraisers.
